Federal Research Fellowships: NRC RAP and AF STFP Info Session Join the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine to learn about two prestigious federal research fellowship programs open to postdoctoral and senior researchers with a Ph.D., Sc.D., M.D., or D.V.M. (or near completion). The NRC Research Associateship Programs (NRC RAP) and the Air Force Science & Technology Fellowship Program (AF STFP) support independent, mission-driven research at federal laboratories and agencies nationwide. With more than 1,500 active Research Opportunities, fellows contribute to high-impact work across engineering, physical sciences, life sciences, mathematics, data science, and related disciplines. A representative from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), one of NRC RAP’s participating sponsor agencies, will share an overview of the agency, highlight transportation-focused research priorities, and discuss the role of research associates within their organization.
