Aerospace Engineering junior Joshua Eisdorfer was awarded a 2015 Sikorsky Corporate Partners Scholarship. Eisdorfer was chosen based on his strong academic record and future within the field. The scholarship is part of a partnership between the Clark School and Sikorsky to help fund the next generation of engineers in the field of aerospace and otherwise. Eisdorfer will use this scholarship to support his research and future studies at the University of Maryland.

Eisdorfer has also been awarded the President’s Scholarship for his studies, and is a member of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Honors Program. Last summer, he was a research fellow at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), where he researched graphene and hyperspectral image analysis. In his extracurricular time, he is a member of Lumberjacks, Landscapers, and Landgineers, and plays an active role in the Jewish community at Maryland. When he graduates, he plans to work in the industry before pursuing his master’s in Systems Engineering.

In 2011, Sikorsky donated over $100,000 in 2011 to support programs for Clark School students, including different scholarships. The Corporate Partners program within the Clark School helps establish close relationships between the school and various organizations, and the affiliation supports creating new scholarship opportunities for students within the school.
